Window shoppers

The performance saw a group of individuals engaging in a synchronized procession, with each person closely emulating the actions and gestures of the person directly preceding them. This walking and running performance unfolded amidst a backdrop of shoppers, with participants intentionally adopting exaggerated and absurd movements that mirrored the behaviors of those in their immediate surroundings. Through the interaction, the performers sought to offer a reflective commentary on the inherent absurdity embedded within the ritualistic nature of consumerism and the act of shopping. By juxtaposing exaggerated gestures with the mundane context of a shopping environment, the performance aimed to provoke contemplation on the societal norms and practices associated with this everyday activity.
