Once, I was poisoned watching a band I worked with. I thought there and then, no more working with bands. The times when I had to wait for the connection in the freezing mornings. The time when I slept with a woman who directed a car advert, we went to a party with a church in the garden. I drew abstract shapes of things: drain pipes, road curbs, railways station taps, ends off wires hanging from buildings. These are the memories of New Cross.
