Fourteen Hung Kuen Forms

The physical action of ‘Fourteen Hung Kuen Forms’ derives from the footwork of a Southern Chinese Kung Fu style called Hung Kuen. Fourteen actual forms were carried out by the artist, to trace the repeated actions of a traditional Kung Fu form, which has been practiced in Southern China since the 17th centuary. The footwork presents a residual of movements, using the earth to draw out representations of historical and present-day repeated actions.
